More A500 Repair Adventures!

Listener Will Williams writes:

I saw your youtube vid on the A500 repairs and wanted to share with you my latest Amiga adventures… It was a little touch and go if the upgrade would work at first but I succeeded in the end…..

Round 3 of the A2000 upgrades. In addition to the GoTek floppy drive and KS3.1 Roms previously installed, I’ve replaced the aging SCSI drive with the SCSI2SD adaptor with a 4 gig card and installed workbench 3.1.

The SCSI adaptor in the machine is GVP Combo 030 board. That card made install and setup a little more problematic. Thankfully the original install application packaged in a wb1.3 disk was available on the old GVPm site. I converted the DMS files to ADF through ADFopus on windows virtual machine so they it could be run from floppy drive emulator.

Fun times!!!!

You guys leave Throwback Network? Your podcast episodes haven't been showing up there recently.

Interesting when you are setting up a modern twist on storage with a classic piece of hardware!

BTW, we're still apart of the Throwback Network as far as I know..we seem to get little posting on there…I have no idea why. I'll look into it.

Hey guys–I worked out what was wrong with Flack this morning. Turns out our feed was sending two div tags at the top, which was bringing the entire site down. It's all fixed now!
