This week's episode was a complete Knightmare! …and then you started waffling on about some old kid's TV show. 😉
A couple of interesting tidbits for you…
Stuart Ashen starred in an authentic remake episode in 2013 featuring the original cast and producer to celebrate Geek Week. You can find it on YouTube.
Knightmare was brought to life in part thanks to an Amiga 2000. One was used to create the live foreground imagery such as scrolls, minor monsters and quest objects.
There was a DOS version of Dune, plus a CD-ROM enhanced version that provided full speech and additional animated cutscenes. A very good use of the medium in it's infancy. I'd say the Amiga music is *slightly* better, but other than that the DOS CD-ROM version is the definitive one.
