Best episode in a long while, thanks! RoboCop wasn’t a great game on the Amiga, though it was hard not to get swept along with all the hype. Like you said, John, the license warps your perception of it. I think it was more impressive on the Speccy personally.

I’ve repeated the Data East sublicensing deal story myself, and Gary Bracey didn’t correct me when I mentioned it in passing, yet Simon Butler says it’s a myth.

Toki was another favourite of mine despite the crazy difficulty. Remember I interviewed the Ocean France coder who was responsible for it?

I dunno. The selling charts say otherwise that the Spectrum/C64 and AMIGA were the better non arcade versions but then again it might have been because they just went in a shop and brought it.

Great show, just finished a marathon on MAME compairing them against the arcade originals.
Robocop – not a great conversion, too slow – arcade was great and I finished it in under 10 credits.
Toki – a new one on me, but I love it, how did that one pass me by ?
Commando – think it was a decent Amiga conversation, but by the time it was converted it was old hat.
Outrun – enough said, I love that game even own the arcade bezel amiga is shame
Mortal Kombat – not aged well, amiga version – usual story, BUTTONS!!!
Parasol stars – a solid conversation

Boat, you could start a Heart cover band and call it “Broken Heart”. Actually, your version of that song was stuck in my head at work a couple of days ago. I showed my friend Dave a compilation of your performances and he thought it was hilarious. Though he said that Aaron looked uncomfortable. Thanks as always guys for another great podcast!
