Amigos Behind the Scenes: New video intro bumper thing!

I spent most of my day off work today building this five second intro.

Even though it’s super short, there’s a ton of stuff going on under the hood, all of which I had to learn how to do. Thanks to all those kind souls who post After Effects youtube examples, especially creativecow.net

Still, I’m pretty happy with the result, and I always enjoy learning new software. All my efforts at doing stuff in Illustrator were for naught though–that will wait for another day! Youtube now offers an easy way to combine multiple videos together, which will save a ton of time during postproduction, since I don’t have to wait for Premier to render the bumper and the video together. I hope you all enjoy it!

It *is* a beautifully clean animation, if that makes any sense. I smile whenever I see it kick-start your videos.

After Effects looks pretty daunting, but you've clearly already got the hang of it.

The video above no longer exists by the way.
